While 3D printing has come a long way very quickly, printing with a fine enough level of detail to print a plastic record is still out of reach for most printers. A 3D printing enthusiast named Amanda Ghassaei has developed a technique for turning the sound files from an mp3 into a record that works on any normal record player.

Timelapse footage of a digitally illustrated canvas print commission. I forgot to record a few section like the initial sketch, rough pencils and main background paints so this is only about 6 hours of footage from a total of 12 or so.
